"...From the sweat lodge to the stage, stayin' humble and focused..."

-Biography-

Southern Plains native, "Meta", is an artist of phenomenal proportions. Underneath his calm, collected exterior stirs an insatiable wordsmith and a tireless producer. It's safe to say that Meta, is not only an MC/producer, but a true artist. Immensely passionate about Hip hop culture and dedicated to the artform, his presence is undoubtedly felt with full force on stage as well as in the studio. With tracks ranging from smooth, jazzy Hip hop to heavy Dancehall and Drum 'n' Bass, his musical reportoire covers a vast spectrum of styles and sonic territory. Needless to say, what Meta brings to the game isn't your run of the mill "industry" rap music. On his forthcoming album, "So Much More", he wields tracks that are pulsing with conciously charged lyricism and heavy doses of reality which are all but absent in the majority of today's music. He credits the sense of purpose within his music to his indigenous heritage. A proud son of the Pawnee, Crow, and Chickasaw nations, Meta learned early on that music is so much more than just entertainment. To him its a legacy, and even more so a means of cultural preservation. He strongly believes that it was the music, the ceremonial songs and dances, that kept his ancestors strong and maintained their identity through 500 years of struggle, assimilation and genocide. With this in mind it's no wonder his music is so thorough and conciously focused.  Oppurtunities arise daily for musicians to express themselves to the waiting masses, even the world for that matter. While the larger part of the game steers clear of truth and neglects reality, expect Meta to be waiting, holding a true school bombshell to remind us what music is and why we can't help but fall in love with it.

Over the past decade he has established himself as a well respected, concious & powerful entity in underground Hip hop culture. Just as his person, his music without a doubt reflects his roots in both his Native American heritage and Hiphop culture as well. In his 10 year career, Jeremy has been blessed to share stages with a variety of artists including Martha Redbone, international artist Cary Morin of The Atoll, and fellow Native Hip hop artists Julian B, Shatta I, and DJ Shock B of the Culture Shock Camp. Working with such a wide range of artists both local and distant has been a humbling yet enlightening adventure. Experiences like these are what enable him to expand the reach of his abilities and outlook beyond the norm of the industry.

Both in the studio and onstage, Meta's music flawlessly brings together a broad spectrum of musical styles. From true school Hip hop to Dancehall, Soul, and even Drum 'n' Bass. Live shows are sure to come equipped with a truly , unique, and invigorating experience. A phenomenal lyricist and artist in general, Meta's main objective is to utilize his talents to bring positive substance back into Hip hop and the world in general. Some of his more recent studio projects include work with Shatta I, and Julian B, as well as members of Tulsa's own, Local Hero, and Sam and the Stylees. Concert dates include; the Isleta casino in Albequerque, Indian Summer Festival in Milwaukee, Festival of Resistance at the Aztlan Theater in Denver, the Wounded Knee Commeration Benefit in South Dakota, and numerous others around the nation. His music has also been showcased in many venues, Institutions and schools spanning Oklahoma, Colorado, South Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin, Florida, and New Mexico. All said, Meta is a definite positive force and a breath of fresh air, so to speak, within todays Hip hop and music realm in general.
